More About The Aviator
By Ross, No-Doubt.net Webmaster

There have been a couple articles posted about Gwen and her upcoming role in The Aviator.
Is it true that Gwen Stefani is the latest rock star to try her hand at acting?

Yes. Despite the failure of her close friend Madonna to make it as a movie star, the No Doubt singer has no doubts about dipping her toes in the Hollywood pool.

Her first outing will be in a role tailor-made for her, as Jean Harlow, Hollywood's original "platinum blonde." This will be in The Aviator, Martin Scorsese's biopic of Howard Hughes, which arrives in theaters in November. Though her role is small, it gives her the chance to appear in a big-budget movie with such stars as Leonardo DiCaprio, Alec Baldwin, Cate Blanchett and Jude Law.

The 34-year-old, three-time Grammy winner is also keeping busy working on her first solo album, as yet untitled, and putting the final touches to her new fashion label, L.A.M.B. (Love Angel Music Baby), due in stores next month.

She is also spending quality time with her husband of 18 months, 36-year-old British rocker Gavin Rossdale.

The second article discusses how Gwen isn't totally pleased with her appearance in the movie.
Gwen Stefani was not at all happy with her appearance in Martin Scorsese’s new film “The Aviator.” The singer plays Jean Harlow in the biographical picture about billionaire eccentric Howard Hughes, and was dolled up to resemble the actress, thin lips and all.

“I would have done it a little differently,” she commented. “I am always in control of my hair and make-up. I was like, ‘Are you sure you want the lips to be thin? Jean Harlow’s were bigger than that. It’s not like I didn’t read two biographies and watch 18 of her movies before I got here.’”
You can view this article at the Net Music Countdown website.

Note: The picture is of Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes and Gwen Stefani as Jean Harlow arriving at the premiere of Hell's Angels at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
